Pirate's Cove

Another tradition during our vaca to northern Michigan is getting in a round at Pirate's Cove miniature golf.  This place rocks, it has two full 18 hole courses and tons of fun pirate facts throughout regarding REAL pirates of long ago.  It also has an unbelievable set up...with caves, waterfalls, rivers, and super creative hole designs.  I just love this place.

Heeeere's Johnny!

And Nana, me and Will....

Here's the fam, all very excited about our round of golf...

In the beginning, Billy took time to instruct Will on proper form, alignment, etc...

But I think we all realized soon, with holes like this, the only thing you really needed to get through it was luck!

Papa and John checked out a nearby waterfall...

And about half way through, we wandered through a cave underneath the falls...

At one point John actually started trying to play, which made us all nervous because he wields a golf club like a ninja wields nunchucks...

Here's my four guys towards the end of the round...

Oh, and as another bonus, when you complete your round, the kids get gift bags and pirate hats :)

This year, Will was old and tall enough to hit the bumper car tracks, so he did...ever so cautiously...

While John and the grandparents looked on...

After golf and a quick nap on the way home, Will and Papa Dave took a late afternoon dip/raft ride in Lake Michigan before supper.

After re-reading this blog, I'm starting to realize why I was so exhausted on vacation haha!
