Teething Much?

I know what your thinking, I'm traveling, certainly I have more important things to focus on...but I just HAD to get this video posted.

You see, John is starting to really really really teeth...
and he has grown to love the end of our rubber spatula.

The other night he was chewing on it and it was making apparently the most hysterical noise in the world (listen closely) and Will (complete with food on his face) just about lost it at the supper table.

Have a listen!

Leaving on a jet plane

I'm at the airport getting ready to depart Houston to go to DC for nine weeks.
If I can survive this, I can survive anything.
Wish me luck ( and wish Billy luck too with the boys )!

Lunch Lady

So this was my next to last day in town for a WHILE...so I of course took a vaca day to spend time with John and meet Will at his new school for lunch!  Let's just say, I don't remember school lunches being so fabulous (mostly because I always brought my own lunch).

It is quite likely this was the yummiest pizza of all time, but it is more likely the pizza tasted so yummy because I was in great company, with my cute little lunch date.

Movin Movin Movin...

Johnny B. is movin!

And by moving, I mean he is all over the place.
He does sit ups.
He crawls (quickly).
He stands WITHOUT support.

Here are a few miscellaneous shots of him around the house.

And if you are wondering what all that clutter (boxes of clothes) is doing in the background...those are Will's 18 month - 2T size clothes we had to get out of storage for John!

These thighs are marvelous!

Here is one of his new faces...I call it...the 'ming face' or 'denture face'.

And John couldn't despise his baby toys any more...it simply isn't possible.
We actually had to move all of Will's toys upstairs...he is only allowed to keep a small box of toys in his room downstairs.  All other toys must stay up in the man cave...because John can't keep from putting anything and everything in his mouth.

Tonight John discovered Will's closet, and in the closet he found Will's light sabers which I had forgotten to move.  And he man-handled them as if they weighed as much as a paperclip!

First Day of School!

Today was a H.U.G.E. day...Will's FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
He has officially begun PreK-4 and we are really excited!
And of course, I had to take about 346 photos to commemorate this day.
(grandparents - if you want pictures without the school graphic blurred out on his shirt, let me know!)

Can I just say I am really falling in love with the whole uniform wearing idea?

Ah, he just is toooo cute!

This backpack could probably hold a months worth of food and supplies...I think it is bigger than him!

After some pictures it was time to head to school...
Here he is...getting ready to go in to the school where he will be going for the next 14 years!

Johnny B. and I drove separately (without Will's knowledge) and got some great mammarazzi photos :)

Here's to a great first year buddy...we love you!

SEC! SEC! SEC!

So this Saturday, I let (Yes, LET) Billy take Will from me for 6 hours to go to the Texas A&M Aggies open football practice.  You see, I take my weekends very seriously...100 percent, quality time with both boys...but this weekend was special.  The Ags are getting ready to kick off (pun intended) their first SEC season and while I won't be able to make many of the games, Will is in need of a little indoctrination because he will be going to some!  So off they went...and had a great time from what I understand!  No pictures were aloud inside of course, so here are a few outside Kyle Field...we look forward to the season with great anticipation!

Ketchup & Mustard

Rewind a month to John's 6 month photo shoot...
I had decided a while back on the theme: ketchup & mustard...ie annoyingly bright yellow and red :)
I think they turned out great!  Here are a few (or a ton)...enjoy!

Johnny Blue Eyes...what is not to love about these cheeks?

And the gummy little mouth...

And the little wrist rolls...

Ah...my pudgy little man!

The next two photos were taken while he was watching Will run around...

And I love this picture...he and Will have the longest lashes I have ever seen!

Speaking of Will... :)

He represented ketchup & mustard well...thanks to cheap shoes at Target!

I love how John's shorts are super old man high waisted here...

And the boys' shenanigans...

Ornery Will...

Innocent Will...

And happy flying Johnny...

His smile just warms my heart...

We finally took time to get all four of us in a picture...make sure you look at John's little ankle roll here!

Ah gravity, you do lovely things to baby cheeks...

Here are some of my favorites of my big guy...I have already committed them to memory...

Um...check out his toes!! Adorbs!

Nothing gets John going like playing baby airplane...

And mommy dancing behind the camera (thank goodness that wasn't captured!)..it makes for smiley babies though!

I L.O.V.E. this picture...

When it was all over we were hot, sweaty and exhausted...

But it was worth it...

I will be out of town during John's 9 month photo shoot :(  so it is up to Billy to handle the boys, the wardrobe and the photo shoot.  Good luck...no pressure!

John at SEVEN Months Old!

Oh John, where do I begin?
You are SEVEN Months old today!
Simply put, you are a chunk.

I have no idea how much you weigh but I estimate you to be about 21 pounds.
You are quite the mover...you sit, do sit-ups, roll all over, stand, pull yourself up to stand, and....officially crawled today!  (Which is quite a feat I might add if you notice his low center of gravity ;) )
You like to do yoga poses (downward dog).
You chew on anything and everything you possibly can.
You LLOOOVVVEEE eating.
You STILL love your brother the most in my opinion and want to be anywhere and everywhere he is at all times.  You cry out in frustration when he goes bouncing out of the room and out of your sight.
You are quite vocal (yelling that is).
You are the happiest baby I have ever been around!

Blog readers spoiler alert: there may be a chubby eczema covered baby bottom on this post!)

Here is John doing some of his moves...

His favorite thing right now to do...is stand!

Post bath baby bottom is ... um ... er ... lumpilly (yes, I know that isn't a word) exquisite!

He has mastered the silent, wide mouthed laugh quite nicely...

And has found his new favorite toy...

Finally, the monthly comparison...
Who has the finer set of jowls...Johnny B or Winston Churchill?
