When we booked our reservations a while back, we were kind of nervous because July is usually not the hottest of summer months in Michigan...the best time to visit is actually in August...
But...
Maybe Al Gore is right (kidding)...
We were there during the HOTEST week of the season! In fact, it is actually only in the low 70's now! This particular day was a scorcher...it got into the 90's, so we hit the Suttons Bay beach...
Johnny was super excited...
So excited you would have thought we were torturing him when trying to convince him he needed sunscreen prior to play time...
But once he was all lotioned up he was ready to hit the water!
After a while in the lake, Will decided it was time to defend the beach goers and their picnic baskets by chasing away some seagulls...
Move Over Hasselhoff!!! :)
Say Hello To My Little Friend! (Scarface people, come on!)
At one point Will thought it would be fun to tackle me...
But we all know what payback is...and he got it...
A good toss in the lake!
And then another flying friend (dragonfly) tried to come home with us!
We actually had to shooo him off Will's hat as we were getting in the car!
This day was H.O.T.
No doubt about it.
When we got home and changed, John's hair was so tightly wound up from the heat and water I had to take some photos...
One final wagon ride from Papa before bed....
And some crazy antics...
And it was time to hit the hay.
These two slept like R.O.C.K.S that night!
