Members Only...Continued!

Wednesday Will and I had a 'date night'...we headed back to the Houston Museum of Natural Science for a special event...Dr. Bob Bakker's lecture!  In case you don't know...Dr. Bakker is this guy...the head Curator at the museum...and Will was very pumped to meet him...

He was one of the main advisors for Jurassic Park and the character, Dr. Robert Burke in the motion picture, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, was based on him!

Sadly...Dr. Bakker had a family emergency and had to cancel for only the SECOND time in TWENTY years!  Will didn't really care as much as I did...but we still were able to receive the lecture from the associate Paleontology Curator at the museum, David Temple...and it was A.W.E.S.O.M.E.!

Here is Will with the Acrocanthosaurus...

And under the member banner (he requested this photo)...

Here's my little nerd student awaiting the lecture...he reminds me so much of me!

And here is a picture of the part of the lecture that got all the kid's attention!
Coprolite!
AKA
Dinosaur Poop!
And yes, there is plenty of it on display in the hall!
