Sandstorm - Johnny Style

Seriously - this kid LOVES.TO.DANCE.
And he's fabulous at it!
I hereby present to you, Johnny's interpretive dance to Sandstorm.
Crank up the volume and enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving - Gobble Gobble!

So I was able to fly home for Thanksgiving!
YAY!

I was BEYOND EXHAUSTED.
But made the most of the quick trip.  I missed the boys (all three) so much while I was gone - it was so good to be home, see them, and sleep in my own bed for a change!

And of course, they had a surprise waiting for me - turkey placemats - how adorable!
Billy is so creative!!!

It was a whirlwind trip - but so worth it.  Until this point, I hadn't seen the fam in over two months.
So thankful I was able to make the trip!

Happy Thanksgiving 2016!!!

Halloween 2016!

Halloween - my favorite holiday of the year.
The time when you get to dress up - decorate your house like crazy - eat tons of candy.

And I didn't get to spend it at home :(
This was devastating for me.

Thankfully, Billy and the fam got the house decorated, costumes ready, pumpkins carved, and had a blast!

John wanted to be Dracula's son (think Monster Mash)...and it was a perfect role for him!
Billy apparently convinced him that big hair was a good idea (which I love!) and that wearing glowing teeth would be super spooky.  He loved being this character!

Will of course, starting to be too cool for school - decided rather than dressing up as a scary halloween-ish character, to dress up as his idol - Houston Astro's Jose Altuve.
Easy choice for us! Already had the hat, pants, jersey and shoes!  Just needed the belt and socks!
He is such a handsome baseball player ;)

And sticking with tradition, they carved pumpkins that corresponded to their costume selections.
Way to go Billy!!!!

I can't wait until next year :) :) :)

Johnny Baseball

Well, this fall, we decided it was time to introduce Johnny to the wonderful world of sports.  We started with baseball and with Billy as his head coach (team name, The Avengers!), we think he had a pretty good first season.

He is a natural lefty at bat, and pretty ambidextrous at the moment with catching/throwing.

He crushes it off the tee - to the point where other team's coaches were calling him a "big hitter" :)

He looks absolutely ADORABLE in his uniform!

And I'm sure was just a ball to watch play.  I didn't get to see any of the games but I'm sure it was well worth it to sit in the stands and observe the organized chaos - Billy has more patience than anyone else on earth to handle a team of 3 & 4 year olds!

All in all it was a great season!

Once we get moved and settled in Oklahoma, we'll be signing him up for season 2!

A Brief Word About Will

Will has always been the kind of kid who wants to please everyone.
He's a perfectionist who is overly hard on himself.
He is an amazing big brother - probably the most patient one in existence.

He is also very well rounded, by choice.
He loves baseball, drawing, reading, piano, and simple things like hanging around at the park.

So here's a little vignette of what Will was up to last fall and spring.
He impresses us.
Constantly.

Flat Stanley Drawings

Chicago Blackhawks drawing for Aunt Stacy

 Lego Drawing

His very own fable

He placed third in the District Speech Meet reciting the below Psalm of David - in which he also had to recite his own interpretation for the panel of judges.  He sent me my own copy for my "hotel" room while I was away :)

He was the school's 2nd Grade Spelling Bee Champion (that's a repeat!)

Second Grade piano entrance solo for his school's Grandparent's Day - Gave the audience his best Ode to Joy :)

And of course, there's always his true passion: baseball

This Kid's Got Rythm

This kid - Johnny B - is quite the dancer.

His silly moves make us laugh non stop.
He dances upon request.
His toes start tapping when he hears music in a restaurant.
He requests specific songs.
He even has that ridiculous cheerleader attitude face pop out every so often.
He is the most interesting dancer in the world.

Fourteen Year Anniversary

On September 14, 2002 - These two crazies tied the knot.

It's been fourteen years of marriage, two kids, five moves (about to be six), and lots of memories.
Wouldn't have wanted to share it with anyone else.
xoxoxo

EGGcellent Surprise

That time a creative mom discovered unused confetti eggs from Easter - and more importantly, a better way to use them.

Will Fall Ball 2015

Will joined up with a select baseball team this past fall - The Woodlands Scorpions.
I didn't get to see much, if any of the season so here are just a few snippets from the few practices and games I was able to attend.

At 7 years old, kids in Texas start coach pitch and Will had a great hitting season!
In the field, Will played mostly second base and center field.
Johnny is still his biggest fan - often going so far as applying eye black to support the team from the bleachers ;)

We are so proud of how he is growing in the sport of baseball. More baseball posts yet to come, promise!

Happy 38th Birthday Billy!

One of the last days I was in TX in September, we celebrated Billy's 38th Birthday!
Billy - you are the best, most supportive, most understanding, hardest working, and patient husband in the world.
Happy birthday old man.
Love you babe :)
