Ice Day!!!

Well, we all got to stay home today, from work and school!  Being stuck indoors got our imaginations flowing....Check out all the fun we had today!

1)  First we had a science experiment!

2)  Then we hunted for our stuffed animals...

3)  Then things got really crazy upstairs in Will's man cave - he and daddy made an obstacle course and a slide using a cushion and parchment paper...and I thought parchment paper was just for cookies...ha!

3)  Next we headed outdoors to find some icicles...brrr!!!

4)  And finally we made some homemade pizzas...yum!

We may have had to stay indoors because of all the ice, but at least our yard doesn't look like Nana Julie and Papa Dave's!!!!  Check these out!!!

Will "Cupid" Brown

Well, I was released from work today early due to the bizarre Houston weather, so I decided it would be a good time to get started on Will's Valentine's Day cards.  He has been doing so well tracing - we decided to have him put his own personal 'stamp' on them this year!
Notice the concentration...
Adding the finishing touches...
 Will you be his Valentine???
This face is why I can't deny him ANYTHING!!!!
I selected the color schemes for the four on the right.
Will chose the color scheme for the one on the left that he made for Billy and I.
At first he wanted to use blue (his favorite color) but then decided that aqua would be a better choice. Not sure who he addressed these four to go to...so be on the lookout for them in your mailboxes!

Capturing Life's Little Kodak Moments

One of my favorite things about my little man is his personality...he wears it on his sleeve!  He has such an imagination, sense of humor and I could swear he even knows the purpose and proper uses of sarcasm.  I try my best to have my camera at arms reach at all times because sometimes the best moments in life are 'kodak moments'.  Moments that you can't plan for.  Moments that you can't manufacture.  Moments that just happen, for a split second and then they are gone.  Moments, if captured, can be a memory that shows one's true personality, one's true spirit.  Here are some of my favorite kodak moments of the week, starring, you guessed it, my little man.

Kodak Moment #1:  Boy Meets Cupcake
I brought a cupcake home from work and Will thought it would be funny to shove his chin in it to have a toddler goatee- don't worry mom/dad - this isn't a shirt advocating violence - it actually says "slap shot", as in hockey haha!
Kodak Moment #2: Hand Shoes
Will thought it was a hysterical idea to use his hands as feet, thus the need for hand shoes.  Shortly after this picture was taken, he demanded my participation (using Billy's flip flops).
Kodak Moment #3:  The Will-stache
This picture showcases Will's imagination - he thinks of the funniest things to do, all on his own, although I may have inspired him a little by first making myself a "Jude nose" out of black play-doh.

Day at the Houston Aquarium

Will had an awesome weekend!  His GREAT Aunt Sharon and Uncle Chuck came all the way from Washington (state) to visit.  Saturday was such a beautiful day, we decided to head to the aquarium downtown.  Will had tons of fun petting the "squishy" sting rays, bamboo sharks and riding the carousel and train twice!!  The train was the most fun, especially when we entered the shark tunnel!  Thank you so much Sharon and Chuck for taking us there!  We had so much fun!!!  Can't wait until you visit again!

Rainy Days

Well, it was a rainy, rainy weekend...but that is okay!  We played in puddles, stomped muddy footprints in our backyard, and made ice cream sundaes out of play-doh.  But most importantly, we hung out in Will's man cave.  Thank you dollar section of Target for all of Will's new dinosaurs he got for Christmas!  We took a full inventory today...if you are trying to follow along with Will, here's the full list:  1)Dilophosaurus 2)Dimetrodon 3)Giganotosaurus 4)Pteranadon 5)Allosaurus 6)Apatosaurus 7)Triceratops 8)Spinosaurus 9)Iguanodon 10)Pachycephalosaurus 11)T-Rex 12)Brachiosaurus 13)Parasaurolophus 14)Velociraptor 15)Deinonychus 16)Stegosaurus and 17)Diplodocus...enjoy the clip!

Monstrously Awesome Weekend

Hope you all are having a monstrously awesome weekend!  Daddy took me to see a monster truck!   Monster Jam is in town but mommy told me I couldn't go see it because it would be too loud - so daddy took me to meet Nitro and his driver at an exhibition!  Thank you daddy!  I love monster trucks!!!

New Years Day at the Houston Zoo!

We decided to kick off the New Year with a trip to the zoo.  Now that the African Forest Exhibit is open - we had the special treat of feeding baby Miles.  Will had a blast, not only did he get to see all his favorites in the Reptile House - but he also had a close encounter with a chimpanzee and rode the carousel!

Post Christmas and still excited about Santa Claus!

Christmas has passed but our little man is still jolly!  He loves singing Christmas Carols and doesn't understand why they aren't being played on the radio anymore (specifically his favorite - Feliz Navidad).  Please ignore the overturned furniture in the background (we've been having some work done on the house) and my appearance (this mom doesn't get dressed up during vacation!).  Enjoy the clip!

New Year - New Resolution

So after a short break (ok, ok our last posting was in November 2008) we have decided to bring back the 'Brown Bulletin' in an effort to keep our friends and family who live so far away apprised of all the awesome things our little dude is up to....so without further ado....here is a brief recap of what you missed in 2010.  Happy New Year Everyone!

The Houston Zoo is awesome - we go there at least once a month.  They hosted a dinosaur exhibit in 2010 so of COURSE I loved it!  Here I am with the T REX!

Easter was a ton of fun - although at this point I still didn't like chocolate (as you can tell by my face after biting into a peanut butter cup)....things have changed now though!

Spring school pictures!

This guy and I hang out every time I go to the zoo ... he's MY Komodo Dragon!
