Storybook Parade

Friday was Will's annual storybook parade at school (sadly they only do it for PreK and K so this is his last year!)...After much deliberation, Will settled on creating a costume to coordinate with one of his new favorite chapter books....Flat Stanley.  As he did last year, Billy jumped at the chance of a new school project and began researching and planning how to create such a costume...it took a lot of help from Will and Nana Rosie but they finally got it done!

Here is the prototype Billy completed:

Friday was the big day and here is our little Flat Stanley all completed!!

Parents and staff were ooohing and aaahing over his costume, giving tons of compliments to ME haha! Poor Billy - he did it ALL!!!!

His teacher even asked for a photo op with him and requested we email her a copy ;)

Then the parade began...kids in costumes carrying books...delightful!

This might be my favorite photo because he actually looks flat in it...

So cute...sidebar - not sure what bunny's parents feed her but we need to get in on that diet...how TALL is she?

This might be the best picture ever...here we have both Kindergarten classes combined with Will at the top/center.  You can clearly see how awesome it was of Billy to actually spend time MAKING a costume as opposed to buying one.  Dad of the YEAR!

And here is some footage Nana was awesome enough to catch of our Flat Stanley in action...

Thanks Billy and Rosie for all your hard work getting this done and making it the best costume ever!
