Everybody has a job to do...

Life was pretty easy when it was just me, Billy and Will.  I called it, the zone defense (think basketball).  Billy and I could easily double up on Will if needed in a time of crisis (for example, a super messy diaper change).  Now that John is here, we are stuck playing man to man for the most part.  But Will has been helping out too!  He spontaneously breaks into song (lullabies), fetches burp clothes/swaddling blankets, kisses John, helps us burp him/feed him and is becoming a really great big brother.  To help him better understand how the little things he does for us around the house really do help out, we've incorporated a "chore calendar" in his room.  Every day he has to do something to help out with the family...and if he does, he gets a sticker.  At the end of the month, if the calendar is full (he gets off easy for the month of January since we just started this concept last week) he gets to go to the toy store and pick out a 99 cent matchbox car.

Is this bribery?  Perhaps.  Is it working?  Definitely.
