Will and his bestie Dylan have officially begun their 7 week soccer season at the YMCA. Will has been very concerned about his uniform from day one...so when we found these shoes...he was T.H.R.I.L.L.E.D! (I wonder why?)
Their first practice was last Friday night...they were more than excited to get to spend more time together.
But before too long it was warm up time...
And then they began their drills...(and giggles)...
I have to admit, Will surprised me quite a bit considering only a few weeks ago he thought a soccer goal was a home run. He really had some good moves, paid good attention and seemed pretty coordinated for a little guy who has only 'played soccer' once or twice at home...
He even did pretty well at drop kicking!

ON!
Saturday morning's game came VERY early (8:30am - don't these people know parents need their rest?!)...thank goodness Dylan was there or I don't think Will would have lasted!
After warm-ups, the chaos ensued...I didn't know whether to laugh or cry...it was so adorable watching the blob of toddlers run around with reckless abandon, completely wheels off. There were goals being scored in the wrong nets, kids crying, near miss injuries and more. It was an amazing time!
Will had tons of fun...although I don't think he had any clue what he was supposed to be doing...
And even though our team lost 5-4, these two boys are winners in my book!!
