Saturday we had both Nanas and Papas over for a little cookout and egg dying. We always have real eggs (maybe because I love egg salad?) and a few plastic eggs that we stuffed this year with cars and dinosaurs.
As you can see, Will thoroughly enjoyed coloring eggs this year...we tried something a little new - a roller paint set....
And of course, the traditional dipping of eggs with smelly vinegar...
When it was all said and done, Will was a mess...
But the eggs were marvelous! All lucky 13 of them :)
Sunday morning, we were off to church...isn't he adorable? This is his very first Polo shirt - I almost couldn't handle the price tag for a 2, yes 2T. And I practically had to bribe him to wear 'real shorts' as he is so accustomed to wearing gym shorts, or 'soft shorts' on the weekends. Here he's wearing some 18 month shorts we pulled out of the dresser (will this kid ever put on weight)?
After church, we opened up our Easter baskets, then the egg hunt was ON!
After the hunt, we snapped some family photos - then it was nap time...
Once we were all rested, things got really crazy...
Will got into his Easter toys (water balloons and squirt guns)
Things started really innocently with Will and Billy gently rolling the balloons back and forth...
Before we knew it - Will was throwing them indiscriminately at all of us!
No one was safe, everyone ran for cover!
Then he moved on to the water guns (I'm not sure if this is a face of anger or his best Easter bunny impersonation, either way, it is adorable!)
And finally, he pulled out all the stops by going to the water hose...
We had a really Happy Easter this year and are so thankful all of the grandparents were here!
