Touch a Truck

Today was "touch a truck" day in the Woodlands - a fabulous day for little boys everywhere to get the chance to climb in, flip switches, turn on lights and sirens, pretend to drive and most importantly HONK HORNS!  To Will, these trucks were larger than life and he loved them.  Of course, he voluntarily turned the morning into a learning experience by taking it upon himself to spell out all the words he saw (see Sheriff example below).
Will absolutely loves anything to do with construction...
and fire trucks...
and cop cars...
but his favorite truck of the day was the street sweeper.
Next we took a look at trucks that help clean up after 'trashy people'...

This is the point where I almost had a panic attack...two more years til kindergarten!
This one is for you Papa Max :)
Not only does it say "OL BRN" but it also has Pistol Pete on the license plate!
All in all, we had a ton of fun, but also learned some important stuff too - like Stranger Danger 9-1-1 and how to spell SHERIFF!

Will loves doing "rotations"... whether it is numbers, letters, patterns, tracing etc...
I don't know any other almost three year olds that love spelling things more.
Here he is in action!  And the answer is "no" Nana Julie and Papa Dave...
I did not put him up to this...this was totally Will, totally spontaneous and he was totally, 100% accurate (as usual :) )!
