Will no sooner ended Pre-K, a season of t-ball, and a season of swimming - then it was time for SUMMER CAMPS!
We signed Will up for four this summer, each a bit different to make sure he was having tons of fun.
WEEK ONE: Warrior Camp
Will and all his friends from school attended a week of camp, learning about God, swimming, getting to ride a school bus for the first time, and apparently playing air hockey with his bestie Kensley. He came home each day completely exhausted!
WEEK TWO: YMCA Neverland Camp
For his second week of summer vaca, Will and his bestie Dylan reunited over some outdoor activities at Camp Creekside. Not only did they get to hunt down Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and the tick tock crock, there were crafts, hikes, archery, stories in 30 foot tall tree houses, lunches in tepees, and swimming. He came home each day completely exhausted and brown as a berry from the sun!
To cap off the week, we all met up for pizza at Double Dave's and the Orange Leaf for some fro yo.
WEEK THREE: The Woodlands Children's Museum
This was a two part camp...the mornings offered two themes: Crazy About Critters and Snack Attack and the afternoon was themed A Circus Life For Me. Will, Dylan, and Kensley had tons of fun here touching cockroaches, yes, live cockroaches, lizards, snakes, and even a monkey! They learned about things that are transparent, opaque, and the difference between the two (side bar - if you don't know the difference, my 5 year old is smarter than you (and me) now haha!)
I don't know about you, but these are two cute circus clowns!
WEEK FOUR: Camp Nana
So, as it turns out, camps in The Woodlands are ridiculously expensive, so for week four, we leaned on the grandparents a bit (THANK YOU so much for your help!). Will spent the week with Nana Rosie, doing very important activities such as being spoiled rotten, eating out, getting lots of TLC, and topping the whole week off with a movie date with Dylan.
And we have one super awesome camp left ----
CAMP MICHIGAN!
(coming soon)
