Letters From Home...

So I have really been feeling blue lately...missing home...missing Billy...missing the kiddos...
And just when I felt I couldn't go on I got the best 'pick me up email' from my dad (yes, Nana Julie and Papa Dave are in Houston!).  Papa Dave has been picking Will up from school these days and for a little background info:

  1. The school has what is called a car pick-up line.  All the parents, in their cars, line up and wait for their kiddos to be brought to them from a waiting area inside.  The PreK students arrive safely to the parent's cars with the help of an older student, usually someone in elementary.
  2. We have been told Will has somewhat of a 'girlfriend' in the 1st grade, named none other than...Emily.
The other day, Papa Dave witnessed the following.  His note to me went a little something like this:

Today Emily did her usual at pickup.
She heard Will's name called, went to your car, told the other kid, "I got this one", pulled the original assigned helper by the arm out of the way with a smile, grabbed Will and brought him to the car.

Papa Dave:  "Hi Emily, boy you really take good care of Will, I'm his grandfather!"
Emily:  "You're very fortunate, he's so nice."

Now isn't that just the cutest?!
